Go to Napa and tell them you want a 3 wire Delco 10si alternator. It will probably cost you 40 or 50 bucks. I have a Delco 10si 3 wire on my H, and a 1 wire on my Super C, and the 1 wire wont ever charge without the tractor being 3/4-Full throttle, and for whatever reason always draws on the battery so I have to disconnect it when not in use. That could be due to the wiring from the previous owner though..not sure. But most diagrams I see are for 3 wires so that's what I prefer.
While you're there tell them you want a Napa part number IC14 12v ignition coil too (11 bucks) so you don't have to wire in a resistor.
