The late Hugh McKay spoke of extending and raising the seat rails as a means to create more space for big boys driving Farmall 140s. I can see how the seat rails can be extended backwards a bit and also raised (so as to not get into the hitch lift arms). How about a smaller diameter steering wheel for the 140, maybe a Super A sized steering wheel? Anybody know if this backwards retrofit can be done to an early series 140? I know this increases the steering effort, but my thinking is to improve my ability to get off the tractor both during normal circumstances and especially during dangerous situations. When I was a boy on the farm it was no big deal but as a more hefty 200 pound near 60 year old, that seat to steering wheel situation is more problematic.
