Thank you for information regarding manufacturing of Carco winches. I started working in Seattle in 1966. Howard Cooper was located on 4th avenue and I was continually visiting their shop and asking the mechanics questions. Corky at County Line is a great source of information. The majority of tractors I have were abandoned in the woods, in old buildings, and the majority of then were free. A project with the TD 6 I took to Doebay. While pushing out the stump of a tree I pulled over with the winch: Got the trator's blade under the stump. Right track came off the back sproket and fell off to the inside. Pulled the tractor out from the stump hole. Up against a tree of course. Used the HD 6 to pull the TD 6 around to a level place. Jacked up the tractor, slacked off the track adjustor and had a person who is taking trees from my place use his small excavator to pull the track back on theprocket while I carefully held left steering clutch released position and put power in reverse to right track. It worked--I'm not going to do anymore large stump removal with my TD 6.
