I work on Farmall Cub, Super A, 100, 130, and 140 tractors quite often, and am always going to the local parts store to buy parts for them. I was wondering if anyone has a list or spreadsheet containing the commonly used parts for these tractors (and their equivalents). I have the CASE/IH parts catalouge, but that doesn't really help as far as part numbers go unless I was buying from CASE/IH ( and we all know how they mark up their prices). I usually shop at NAPA, Advance Auto Parts, and O'Reilly Auto Parts for the commoly used items such as plugs, points, condensor, rotor, dist. cap, oil filter, etc. and they usually have trouble finding the parts and crossing them over when I give them the CASE/IH part number. Sometimes I call CASE/IH to make sure the part numbers are still good and ask them as well to give me cross refernece numbers, but I'm sure they don't like dooing that. HAHA.
I was thinking someone has made them a list of the original numbers also with the cross refernece equivalent brand and part number. If not, I will be making one as soon as I get the parts for this tractor bought. If I end up making one, I will share it with anyone who is intrested to help make future purchases and findings more efficient and accurate.
