There are several ways to repair it. All technical and can work well. My first choice is welding. It requires serious cleaning an preparation, then heating to accommodate the weld heat. staged cooling, and normalizing of the welded area. The second is pinning it uses overlapping tapered pins or threaded tapered shank screws to repair the crack, then they are finished smooth to the combustion chamber. The head repair can cost more than a replacement head, and is often done only when the head or block is very expensive or one of a kind. I would look for another head, or get 4 or 5 estimates on the repair. Jim
