I was at the PA sale in Oct 06. It was a divorce settlement liquidation. It was a big auction run by Aumann Auctioneers. Lots of very rare machines. I was under the impression that it was purchased by someone from Europe who flew in for the sale.
Next I heard was that it sold for a loss a year later in IL. Don't know if that was an auction.
I believe that Aumann was asked to sell it for the third time several years ago. It sold at auction for about $70,000. Does Aumann play games. I have no idea. Seems like a nice guy.
Now it may be that this tractor is not the same one. Of those 52 exports, some may have been repatriated and refurbished to sell here. Search on "Super MDV-TA" at Red Power Forum for more info.
