I think the point of your original post was just a matter of "generation speak".
The youngster may not have a lot of experience to validate their opinion but at least they have one and are participating.
I am around High School and College age kids regularly and it's just a young way of talking. We did the same thing when we were young.
The majority of newbies I have seen on this forum get the point that the "elders" here are friendly and willing to share knowledge on many subjects and that friendly discussions and disagreements are just a good way of sharing knowledge and learning.
