Everyone, Thanks for the help so far, a little update, and need to post pictures.
We are getting the engine back today, and it is ready for assembling. Bored out to SH Kit, head had to be sent to the Head guy to get welded up and cleaned up. Pistons are ready to go in, and the rearend has all new gaskets, seals, and cleanned for primer. Clutch is ready for the engines, waiting on brakes before rearend is ready completely ready for paint. ordered the battery box, wiring harness, light lens, decals, gauges, shifter knob and other parts today. New Titan tires came in last week.
Students are finsihing sandblasting rims, rails, and front end so it can all get primed bfore assemble. A local auto body guy is willing to assist in straighting and painting of tins. It will go very fast.
Total Dollars spend on a high end restoration with just parts no labor is looking to be around $3,500. The best of the best, and is something everyone involved with should be proud of.
Quick questions, the students are thinking about selling tickets for $10 each, $20 for 3, $50 for 6 $100 for 20. That should about right?? Just making sure we are no our of anyones range. SOme wanted to sell only 50 tickets for $100. What is better? A high chance of winning or a cheaper ticket??
