The main problem with alkyds is that they fade. If kept outside they have to be waxed frequently or they will fade badly. As a compromise use CaseIH 2150 from the dealer, does not have to have hardener. It supposed to be the modified alkyd that glennster mentioned, I am not sure as the can may just say enamel. If you want the original color code, that is IH 50 which crosses to PPG 70019/DuPont 7410, can be mixed in other brands. You can get it mixed as acrylic enamel, which fades slower than alkyd, it can be used without hardener. Otherwise PPG Omni acrylic urethane, or the equivalent in the DuPont Nason line or MS Crossfire will cost you probably $150-160/gallon for the paint and hardener, not counting the necessary primer and surfacer. For quality paint that is as cheap as it gets. If you go that route, you need a supplied air system for the isos in the hardener, maybe $400, haven't priced one lately.
