People have made the "useless" comment countless times. I am not one of those. I find the archives to be valuable component to this board.
Those that critisize the functionality of the archives just aren't willing to do their own research. There are lots of them here. I remember one post where someone titled his thread with "QUICK, I need Bates Implement's telephone number", or something similar. I lit into him. He could have used the archives or simply filled in a Google search box. That would have been a whole lot quicker.
Should I post a link to that thread after finding it in the archives? Nah, it's not worth the trouble but it could be done easily by using the words "quick", "telephone", and "Bates". If there are no hits, start deleting a keyword or two. (I sure hopes this works, LOL)
BTW, this is a prime example why spelling is important.
