I got that axle pivot pin out this evening after much pounding with big hammer and drift. Actually, it was more of a problem getting that little anchor pin out as it was really rusted in. The bushing in the axle had only a couple thousands left until completely worn thru. My vote is for the way the red shop does it as that is the way I did it and it just felt safer and lot less work. The bushing just barely clears the bottom of the bolster jacked up all the way but it clears.
