I have a 400 with a cheap loader. It is as ugly as it can get. The engine is good, the TA. is bad. It has Power steering and a wide front that needs two tie rod ends replaced. The front tires are mostly smooth the the back tires look about 80%. The sheet metal has drilled holes and patches and covers added to them. I would like to sell it for $1500 but if it is too ugly to get someone to buy it, then I would rather part it out. I need the hydraulics and grill for one of my other tractors and the P.S. would go on my 400.
To sell it, I will need to buy a new battery for it. If no one will buy it, I am stuck with a new 6 volt battery that I don't need. I drained some water out of the rear end before we towed it home. After 2 months, the rear end fluid still looks like cream. I should replace it, but, buying 15 gallons of hy-tran, for a tractor that might get parted out is foolish. Should I try to sell it this way or do you think that would be a waste of my time? Thank you Steve
