The I4 is the industrial equivalent of the Farmall H. It shares the same engine and many transmission parts with the H (row crop), the W4 (Wheatland standard tread version), and if there was an O4 (orchard version), that too...
The winch is definitely an add-on. Can you find any lettering in the winch castings that would identify where it came from? Companies were very proud of their products in the 1950's and would make sure that their company name and city of origin were cast prominently into anything they made.
It was very common for specialty companies to buy a bunch of IH tractors and outfit them with equipment for a certain job. That could be the case here, or the Erie Flooring Co. could have purchased the tractor and winch separately, and had their mechanic install it.
