First... MANY thanks to all those who helped me understand that this is what I needed for a small garden....
It took me two trips. On the first I was unprepared and didn't know how to tell the difference between a C and an SC. It was kind of a sneaky trip anyway as I went under the guise of looking at a boat and didn't let him know I was contemplating the SC. Tho we did talk about it, and I wrote the serial number down. SN.192223 makes it a mid year 54 if I figured it right.
On the second trip I was more prepared. Took a closer look and bought it for $1300. SC with a 5' bush hog. The tin is good and she is all there except the draw bar. Still on 6 volts with working lights and good hydraulics. Paint leaves something to be desired. A typical shade tree paint job.. ie: they painted everything and got over spray on a few things that should be black. But paint don't make her run good and I plan on using her in the garden anyway.
I don't figure the price is great but it's not bad and we are both happy..

Now to shop for implements.
Will A, B and C cultivators and planters interchange? I am guessing that they are close and many parts if not the entire unit will.

Also my wife doesn't know I bought another tractor yett.. so DON"T tell her please ;-)
She will find out soon enough. After I take her to dinner a few times I may drag it home..
