Thank you Bill & Gary , believe it or not I could still make money on this one .
My son Phil was hauling milk a few years ago & the guy wanted 4500 for it . The motor & rear end had been done . One of those " tractor in the barn yard " Amish " went to look at it .They got it started after setting a couple years . It was the coldest December we had for years , After they got it running the Amish said I don't want to buy it , I want to borrow it for a year . The owner ordered him off the farm . When Phil came in that nite to pick up milk he said 3000 and get it off the farm by Monday . Next morning Jr & I winched it on a trailer , brought it home & unloaded in the shop . About 5 hours later I thought it should be warn & I would start it . Started great sounded good , I looked down & no oil pressure ! Before I could shut it off it started making noise . It the owner & Amish had let it run 30 seconds more it would have blew than .
I hadn't noticed but the top of the muffler was rusted out & water had run in for a couple years . I pulled the pan and the oil pickup was frozen solid .
I do quite a bit of business at Anderson Tractor , Bluffton Ohio , they are a big tractor yard . They had bought the inventory of a dealer close out .
I got the new crank , cam , lifters & torque & over haul kit for half of new price ,
Lil Bill & I was up there yesterday & found a set of Firestone 23 degree Radials that still have the lil rubber tips on them . They sold them to me RIGHT .
I've got less than 7500 in it .

Today's Featured Article - Box Plow Blues - by Tom Schwarz. One of the first implements most tractor owners obtain is the box plow. For very little money, this piece of equipment promises to plow and flatten any hill or vale on your ranch road or farm. At least that's what I thought! As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U ... [Read Article]
