Morning All, I need your help with a question about mowing with my IH cub. Its a 67 with a IH mower driven by the power take off pulley. Does the pulley turn at the same rpm all the time ? My grass is getting high and the ground is starting to dry up so now is a good time to mow. In the shorter grass it does ok but it deeper grass it wants to bogg down. MY reaction is to throttle up but that make it go faster, if up press in the clutch it will stop. If you were to run at lower engine rpm s will the mower still go as fast as it would at higher engine rmp . I guess my question is does the pto pulley run at the same rmp all the time ? thanks for your replys Harry
