I have a plain M but I believe the setup is identical to that on a Super M. I had to go out and buy what is called an "offset" or "obstruction" wrench from NAPA to get at that back nut. It is shaped like a "C" and allows you to get around things that might be in the way of getting at a bolt.
Also--I found you have to be careful with lining-up the tube that comes from the governor to the butterfly shaft on the carb. If it binds in anyway you will get a sticky throttle response. I attached the carb first to the manifold with the nuts kind of loose, then connect the gov. to throttle tube to the carb and tighten the screws. Then tighten the carb stud nuts.
