I recently bought a 1974 IH 464 Diesel. It hadn't been running in about 5-7 years. I put a battery in it and a starter solenoid and the little beast fired right up. The previos owner said "It needs clutch work" The shifters both move freely and appear to move the shafts in the transmissions but it doesn"t move at all. If it had broken the center of the clutch out it should make some kinda noise or rattle. I fear a shifter fork is broken or worse, maybe an input shaft snapped. I was going to pull the top cover off the primany transmission tomorrow and give it a look see. Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
