I fired up the tractor today, the steering was jerky, the 3PH was completely stuck down and the loader wouldn't move. I cycled the lever on the right side that allows the loader controls to operate, no luck. After a period of time the 3PH started to raise, jerking the whole time. I turned the steering wheels and heard a whine from the left side of the tractor. The steering would then become impossible to move after you turn it left and right a few times, it wouldn't go to it's limit though. It also felt like there was a load ont he tractor motoe when you did this. After running it for a bit, I shut it off in frustration. When I did this and turned the steering wheel I could hear the rush of fluid. Go figure. I also discovered that it was leaking above the right axle (some kind of valve there) and it was frothy. I wasn't frothy on the dipstick. I also saw a bit of seepage at the loader controls, the wee plungers that are operated by the levers. I've never seen that before. There was a plastic vent filter under the seat on the valve there, I removed it and cleaned it. I also ran the tractor for a bit with the filler plug removed and there was no difference.
I'm stuck. :?
Does anybody have a schematic for the hydraulic system?
Where is the pump and what it involved in removing it and having it tested?
Is there some valve not working that would cause these seeps and froth?
