I havent talked to my uncle since monday, he is retired and doesnt use the tractor regularly, so its not an urgent repair, i will mention to him the things that were mentioned here. Maybe he lost a piece, i guess i dont know. He is familiar with the machinees, but yea his shop is like mine and everyone else trying to scrape buy out here, he could have put something together wrong inside too, i am sure its not the first time its taken him, me or anyone else a few tries to make things work. I don't get to worked up about things, if someone wants to put in their .02 thats great, if not no big deal. I appreciate someone taking the time to give a suggestion or an experiance they had with a similiar problem. I go by moline_guy, because when we got a computer two years ago the better half told me i needed a handle, and i grew up looking down the hood of a vista g1000 MM of my dads and its still probably my all time favorite tractor. We also farmed with a few other g1000's and a few A4t-1600's back in the 90's. I have had a 1466 IH for almost ten years, it has a straight shaft in it so i don't have any of the TA issues that usually come up, and its been a very good machine for me and am actually going to an auction this weekend to look at another 66 series tractor. I do think responses on a screen don't always reflect the way the person actually meant it, but like i said before i appreciate anyone who takes the time to chime in if they got something that might help, even if, like in my original post i didnt give enough information to give a definate solution. I have an IT manual for the 1466 so i should read up more on the items you are describing, that also looks like an informative web site so i will check into that also, i don't particularly like computers, but i have always liked tractors, doesnt really matter the color, and i have learned a lot from the few sites i visit. Thanks again for the replies.

Today's Featured Article - Choosin, Mounting and Using a Bush Hog Type Mower - by Francis Robinson. Looking around at my new neighbors, most of whom are city raised and have recently acquired their first mini-farms of five to fifteen acres and also from reading questions ask at various discussion sites on the web it is frighteningly apparent that a great many guys (and a few gals) are learning by trial and error and mostly error how to use a very dangerous piece of farm equipment. It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
