I have a 756 with a 291 gas that runs and starts excellent and has about 1000hrs on O/H. But I down sized my operation and planning on pulling a 6 row planter and a 16' disc in corn stocks in front of the 1456 and chisle plow this spring. Now up till now it was a chore tractor, feeding hay, pushing snow. I suppose becouse of the easy starting gas in the cold temps. But with the increased field work that I have planned for it, and the ONLY gas powered piece of equipment that I have on the farm, I would like to switch it to diesel. Whether it be a d310 for the "factory spec", d358 out of an 826 or 3088 or 3288. Or even my favorite a dt361 out of a 1206. Give me your input. Also what is my 291 worth. and would all those engines work with out modifications. Thank you
