Sure. And you are correct. Tooth damage can sure happen. Lift one rear wheel with a jack then block it up. Leave the engine off. clutch out (as though moving, foot off pedal) because it is in Neutral, the tire should spin freely. Stop the tire. Put it in each gear, one after the other, and see if it now stops the wheel. If it passes the test, do this. With the wheel Up/blocked (cant fall) and the other brake locked, pull the High voltage coil wire out of the distributor and ground it to the engine) Mark the tire at the bottom with chalk. Put it in first gear with clutch out as above. Crank the engine for three cylinder compression strokes RRR RRR RRR. Mark the tire at the bottom. Rotate the tire (in neutral) until the first mark is back at the bottom. Put it in second. Crank RRR RRR RRR put a new mark labeled 2 at the bottom. Do this for all gears and reverse, then put in all the bolts in the cover. JimN
