In those moments of stress there is black exhaust smoke. Not a constant stream, but, there non the less. The first time I saw this I checked the plugs. They weren't burnt, but, were very black and dry for the most part. There was no oily build up around the electrode. There was a little sediment within the barrel, though. I replaced all the old fuel system between the tank and carburator. The fine tuning of the carburator have been a problem the only place I've been able to find out anything about the Zenith, on my tractor was under new and rebuilt carb's for C, and Super C. Neither my shop manual or Operator's Manual, show this carburator.
