I"m rebuilding my early Farmall H engine and was about ready to pull and replace the three cam bearings with the new ones form the kit. I had some pullers machined to fit the new ones but discovered that they are about 0.005" larger than the originals. The cam measures right to the values in the book and fits to old bearings to tolerance. If I just slide the kit bearings onto the cam I get a very sloppy fit. I can"t find any reference to different sized cam bearings for this engine.
The .005" sounds about right. The bearings are a press fit in the block so you need to machine the drivers to the size of the cam journals, not the uninstalled bearing ID.
