We went trough the rear end of our mid 50's cub replacing oil seals and brakes, and now the PTO is trying to pull out the back of the tractor when engaged. I can just tap it back in and it runs until it slides back out. What keeps it in? Is it supposed to be a tight press fit in the bearing and is that all that is supposed to hold it?
If so, do you think if I coated it with loc-tite it might hold?, or maybe the bearing would still get too warm and the loc-tite would let loose..
