Hi Poorfarmall, yes 3414 and 3444 were the industrial models, may have heady duty front axle, front mounted hydraulic pump and some additional hardware. Re Brakes, now it has been 40 years but here is the fix, remove the disk brake housing by removing the adjustment bolt from the brake pedal lever and the 4 bolts that hold the housing to the side of the differential. Inside you will find 2 disks and an expansion mechanism that has 3 rollers in between held together with 3 springs. The brakes work by the rollers running up the ramps in the expansion mechanism and pushing against the disk surface. First cleanup the rollers and ramps, do not apply any kind of grease that brake dust will stick to. Next examine the disks for wear, most likely they are just glazed and shiny. I would take a wire brush and buff them to remove the glaze. The other problem that happens is when the disks are replaced, the new disks will only make contact on the outer edge of the of the worn brake housing. Solution is to grind a 1/16" off all way around the outside of new disk so they will contact the worn surface of the housing. Someone must have invented a tool to turn the worn brake housing surfaces but I never had access to one.
