It ain't easy to do, but Uncle Sam might have paid to have it done, whether directly through IH or with parts from an outside supplier (not like IH didn't use those, if you think of all the shop mules and other variations on the A)
If I were a fella wantin' to go at such a conversion on my own own, I'd see two routes.
1) I could start with an A and get the longer diff shaft and housing from a BN and bolt onto the left side of an A (or, less likely, two shafts and housings, one for each side, and the different seat platform and mounts if I was using goods from a B), and see if I could extend the left and pull in the right sides of the front end on the A to even up the tread and make it track right, with the factory setup being shorter on the left.
2) Start with a B or BN, and replace the whole front casting and front end with that from an A to get the steering arm to run to the tie rods, but still face the same issue of how much adjustment I had for width on the front.
