To clarify: You mean a 10 ga wire piggy backs on the outgoing (from switch to starter) terminal over to the ammeter?

Also, I'm going to have to get new battery cables, as my negative cable isn't long enough to make it to the big honkin starter switch, and I don't have one at all to run from the big honkin switch to the starter itself. So, a couple questions:
1) Can I use my exsisting ground cable? I don't know what gauge it is, but it reaches the new grounding point just fine.
2) What is the route that the cable from the switch to the starter took? I'd guess there were several options, but what was most common, or what looks the "cleanest"?
3) Since I have to buy new cables, what is a good and cheap source? Any auto parts store? Should I ask for anything specific, or just 0 gauge battery cable? What should I expect to pay?
