The "standard" size tire in the owner's manual is 9-24, but the owner's manual points out that other sizes are available. I believe that 9-24 converts to 9.5-24 in today's sizes, but I am not 100% sure of that. My Super A is the family lawn mower and it also has 11.2-24's on 9" rims on the back of it. I like them. But, tire sizes are a personal preference, so the decision is up to you. Bear in mind there were about 3 different rear rim sizes; roughly speaking, 8" wide rims (between the bead walls) were for 9.5 tires; 9" wide rims were for 11.2 tires and 10" wide rims were for 12.4 tires. You might fudge a little on tire sizes vs. rim width, but I'd avoid 9.5" tires on a wide rim. Talk to your tire dealer about rim width and tire size. Also bear in mind that going to a smaller rear tire will noticeably slow the tractor in each gear. Maybe you'd like to slow it; maybe it travels at a good speed now with the 11.2" tires? Something else to think about. mike
