Hugh, the RPM article is by Jim Becker, who posts on this forum. The unit attaches as Gene says and has a lever to use as either regular ground speed or reduced speed. The unit does not affect PTO speed. As Keith says, PTO speed on the Cub is the same as engine speed, up to 1600 rpm on the original Cub. Jim Becker also said that a couple of companies made PTO conversions for the Cub which changed the rotation and reduced the speed. One was J.R Prewitt, the other was Hub City. Hub City is still in business but no longer makes the conversion for the Cub. Those who get Red Power magazine can find the article on P 37 of the May-June 2005 issue. Jim is an excellent writer.
