I was going to fire my 54 Super H today after nearly a year taking up shop space. Complete restoration front to back top to bottom. Put a couple gallons of gas in and only a few drips in the bowl. Sediment bowl is new from OEMTP. I blew air in from both ways no results. It looks to me the part sticking up in the tank is under the baffle. Has anyone had a aftermarket bowl make contact with the baffle blocking flow? Now I have to get the darn gas out with out messing up the paint. Kinda ticked me off so I went to work puting a carb kit in a Briggs powered genny. Got it all together, fired it up and set the carb. It was purring like a kitten and all at once it starts to sputter and smoke and fuel runs from the carb. Darn float musta stuck or filled up. Not my day for fuel systems.
