Getting the axle out may not be too hard. Drain the differential Remove the PTO unit Find two 3/8 dia X 3" long bolts (might need 1/2" X 3") and use them to wedge up the bull gear by placeing them between the gear and the lower part of the differential case, and tapping them in a bit to hold weight. This holds the bull gear up and makes putting it back together much easier (remember to remove them!!!!!!!!!!) REmove the retaining bolt in the center of the bull gear, about one turn. Find a square piece of metal that will fit between the head of that bolt, and the one in the other bull gear. Use that to hold th bolt in position while continuing to unscrew the original bolt. This pushes the axle out of the bull gear. I think, but am not certain (my photo did not load in the parts and pieces gallery) That the axle will push out of the housing and push out the outer bearing. The axle is larger where it goes through the inner bearing, and (hopefully) will pull the outer bearing with it. The pushing with the bolt will not go very far before it runs out of thread, so some pulling on the axle will be needed. JimN
