Sounds like the pump or intake to the PTO or the control valve has ceased functioning for what ever reason. Clear all debris from around the PTO valve linkage and try again. There is an intake screen that could clog, but not likely that quick. If clutches were holding for shaft operation before, probably not clutches. Then find a parts or service manual and look for a sheared key or drive to the pump for the PTO. Then find a steep bank, point the front end down hill, get a small tractor with loader to pull the PTO assembly. Pump will be part of that assembly. A good shop with hoist and drain the transmission fluid is preferred, but removal without draining is also possible provided nose is low enough for fluids to not flow through the PTO hole.
