might as well tell ya the whole story on what i have done to my poor tractor. i got in april this year and it started up fine every time bumped the starter. the guy i bought it from told me to shut the gas off every time i use it but my friend dosent so i dident.also i left "on" switch on for two days and probly killed the coil so i bought a new one. and ever since i killed the coil it will start up rell good the first time and then it will only start if you pull it. btw this is a 6 volt system but it still wont start if you jump it with 12. i started leting it run out off fuel and then turning it off but still no luck. also the points look fine. sorry for the long post and misspellings.
