Gary: I did respond to you, but got it in the wrong place, my memory is that bad. Oh yes, and I am alergic to an antibiotic, just can never remember the name of it, until I see it. Once I see that 15 siliable two word decsription, I'll nail it every time.

Ole Doc. gave it to me once for an infection, took it Sat and Sun. I did feel a bit unsteady, however on Mon morning I decided to do some plowing. When I got to tractor, I couldn't get in the cab. Went back to pickup and drove to Doc's office, he was in and saw me right away. Didn't want to let me drive home, said I was on the verge of a drug induced stroke. Finally he agreed as long as I map my route and stick to it on side roads. He was heading for hospital shortly behind me and would use same route. He had to drive by my door on route anyhow. He called at the house on his way, told me to drink lots and lie down for the day. That was 11 am. 5 pm on his way back he was back at the house, checked me over. Next morning he was back, checked me and gave me the OK.

I'm telling you I was one nervous lad for a spell, but I think poor ole Doc was more nervous than I. He actually stopped long enough to have dinner with us that first evening. I expect 3 pre teen children around the table with us made him think a bit about possible mal practice. Thankfully I came out of it with no adverse effects, and ole doc and I remained friends until he died. I often wish I could dig him up, I think he'd still be better than the quacks we have today.

Today's Featured Article - Choosin, Mounting and Using a Bush Hog Type Mower - by Francis Robinson. Looking around at my new neighbors, most of whom are city raised and have recently acquired their first mini-farms of five to fifteen acres and also from reading questions ask at various discussion sites on the web it is frighteningly apparent that a great many guys (and a few gals) are learning by trial and error and mostly error how to use a very dangerous piece of farm equipment. It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
