Hi, I have a 674D that's about to wear me out. The problem I'm having now is it all started when I noticed coolant leaking from the weep hole in the water pump. I Replaced the water pump. Sense I was replacing the water pump I thought I should replace the thermostat too but it didn't have one. I installed a thermostat and then noticed when the engine got to running temp. it would start to push coolant out passed the radiator cap . Took the cap off and found that the cap was missing the rubber sealing washer and the cap was split also. I replaced the cap with a 7 pound cap. Now when I run the engine it would push water out of the over flow hose so I put a recovery tank on, but at running temp. it will overflow the tank . Now I have found that, with the engine cold and with the cap off of the radatior, full of coolant while cranking the engine, coolant shoots straight up out of the radiator about 10 to 12 inches and when the engine starts it pushes out coolant but does not run hot . I really don't work the tractor long and hard enough to really make it run hot but I suspect it would if I really worked the tactor hard and long. I had the head off about 6 months ago and had it re-worked and surface ground but not pressure checked. The engine is not getting any coolant in the engine base and is not leaking any on the out side of the head, but when I crank the engine with the radiator cap off it sure acts like it's compression related. Any body got a clue what may be going on ? Thanks for your time and any help
