one time a few years back, something didnt shut off right (likely the needle valve/float)and the entire intake and combustion chambers were filled with gas. so mentioning the carb has merit. it only happened 2 times, and never again. there is a lot of varnish coating on the outside of the carb near alot of the gasket or screw seams. have to consider workin on that one day then! tractor was supposed to be thouroghly overhailed around 1990, dont think we've got 100 hours on it yet! -karl
