O/T Farmall Plant in Rock Island Illinois

Was listening to Spike Odell on WGN the other day and he got to talking about the old FARMALL plant in Rock Island.. Seems he worked in security there when he was younger. I guess the plant which has been closed for years is going to be torn down soon. When I lived in the Quad Cities in the late 60's and early 70's we would drive by every now and then. Just went to see how many tractors were in the lot. It was always interesting to see all the 1206s sitting there. I'm an Oliver guy, but I did like that tractor. That plant and the John Deere headquarters building were on our "driving tours" of the area for any of our visitors. It is too bad the old manufacturing plants are disappearing.
