The Super A was never tested at Nebraska, thus there is really no official test saying it was more horsepower.

I've owned 6 offset tractors in my lifetime, can't actually say each one had a bit more horsepower over the last model. My tractors were 3 Super A, 2 - 130s and a 140. 100, 130 and 140 should have had more horsepower from the C-123 engine however larger tires, basically offset the increase in power. Right now, I still have a Super A, 130 and 140, on hard ground the SA will give the other two a hard run on a drawbar pull, with the right driver might even outpull the 130 and 140. The 130 and 140 do get an edge on soft ground where flotation is important. I know there was a just for fun tractor pull on a hard track a few years back. I took my Super A, watched those guys with bigger tires spin out before I did. Had they held that pull in a plowed field, I'd have taken the 130.
