There was a discussion last week about using old diesel fuel. I said that I had just started my 660 with 4 year old fuel. It started hard but ran fine for about an hour. At that point the governor in the pump started "hunting". I shut it down. I put new filters in yesterday and the tractor now starts and runs well. I have a question about the filters. The parts book lists only one fuel filter type for both canisters. Every other diesel I have ever maintained has a primary and secondard filter. Did IH eventually specify a secondary filter for the second canister in the D-282?
