Traction for a Cub

Argh... Last Fall I prepared my precious 48 Farmall Cub for the chore of plowing the driveway when the snow finally came. I removed the belly mower and installed the Farmall Front Grader/Snowblade. Parked him (Jr.) in the barn and anxiously waited for snow. That snow came to Cincinnati about 2.5 weeks ago. Anxiously watching the snow fall I couldn't wait for the accumulation ;-). Now I have to tell you I spent about 2 weeks getting JR started in this weather. A carb overhaul, new float, etc, etc. Got him going this morning, and it was litterally the biggest dissapointment I've had out on our little farm since we bought it last summer. JR just doesn't have the weight or traction to move the snow at all. The Tires on the cub are new (last spring) I don't have chains for him. Is there anything that can be done to adjust the diff so it doesn't just spin the free wheel ? What's the easiest way to add about 500 lbs to the back of him ? Suggestions ? Before I go buy a big snow blower ? -Matt
