Tube valve stem corrosion

Hi All , Yup , I have a rear tire with a corroded valve stem from fluid and I don't want to take it to the tire shop if I can help it . Can't afford any tire shop help this time around so what - if anything - can I do to fix it without making it worse or getting a new tube installed ? I want the fluid out but that's not in the cards anytime soon either . Any spray or something that will clean it up without eating the stem ? I can get air into it and out of it but the core leaks now that I did that . I am hesitant to remove the core because it at least keeps the fluid inside and even with no air in it it holds up the tractor ( an M ) .

By the way , my rims have a stem protector - sort of a half pipe type of thing welded around the outside of the stem hole to protect the stem from being torn off . It looks like it's done very professionally , like it was done at the time of manufacture . Anyone know if this is original or an add on ? One day I'll get a digital camera so I can post the picture that's worth a thousand words ;) . Thanks ...Randy
