From what they said, the MCV is in very bad condition and the valves are scored so bad they can't slide freely anymore. I drove out there and talked with them just now and there was some misunderstanding on my part when he was telling me about it over the phone, I thought he said the hydraulic pump that they tested was no good, but I didn't understand him right. What it was is the only MCV that they can get for it does not have any steering controls built into it like my old one does, so the new MCV they have will fit it just fine, but unless they changed the steering box under the steering wheel over to an updated version with those controls built into that, I would not have any steering and replacing that "hand pump" for the steering is $$$. I don't know if maybe I got an oddball or what, but thats what is going on, and so now they are looking at finding me a used MCV with those steering controls built into it. I didn't really think they were trying to burn me for a minute, they have always treated me good, but I got confused when he was talking about changing a pump, so I decided I had to go see them to make sure I had a handle on what was happening.
