New plugs should not be fouling up in a short time. Changing heat range is a cure for a downstream problem. Is that black chunky stuff greasy like oil, or is it dry carbon like fuel? Is it more prevalent on the electode or the tip? Are you running the engine at max or idle? You can have a rich/lean problem at idle and the reverse situation at max. If it is excess fuel/carbon problem from the carb you need to test run at idle only, and then at max only. You are getting either excess oil or fuel in the combustion chamber and you have to solve that. So tell us what the stuff is and where it is in detail. Gordo
