I have the distributor housing clamped firmly to the bench. I can move the shaft all over the place. Up & down, side to side, everywhere. This machine was running when I pulled the distributor, I'm doing a basic tune-up because I just bought it. Was I just lucky? Should I take it to a shop and have them rebuild it? I can't believe that there is supposed to be this much play in the bearings or bushings.
