Randy My 154 is doing exactly the same thing. Sorry I don't have a fix yet either. I got on the dedicated yahoo group site for lo-boys and Mike Sloane suggested all the same things you have already done including the gas cap replacement. He had also suggested just loosening the cap a little for troubleshooting. I haven't tried that yet but I did finally take the time to order the gas caps. Let me know what you finally come up with. It's far too dry and hot around here to run the mower for very long. I have noticed that it will run a little longer when it is cooler, but it still dies.
