Hi,I hope someone can help me.I have a 154 that after about a 1/2 hr. cutting grass it starts acting like it is running out of gas.I have replaced the coil, plugs, wires, cap, points, condenser and rotor, cleaned the sediment bowl and screen and it is still doing it.Seems to do it only after it gets hot.Runs like a new one till it gets then.Any help will be great as I'm going crazy on this one.Thanks. Randy

Randy, I have a Cub 154 and do not have that problem, and I have tall vented cap. However, it does seem to get a bit hot from time to time.

I asked on the farmall site and was told when it starts running bad to loosen the gas cap but it didn't help at all.

My 154 is doing exactly the same thing. Sorry I don't have a fix yet either. I got on the dedicated yahoo group site for lo-boys and Mike Sloane suggested all the same things you have already done including the gas cap replacement. He had also suggested just loosening the cap a little for troubleshooting. I haven't tried that yet but I did finally take the time to order the gas caps. Let me know what you finally come up with. It's far too dry and hot around here to run the mower for very long. I have noticed that it will run a little longer when it is cooler, but it still dies.

Have seen mentions elsewhere that talk about replacing the orginal gas cap with a vented one. Perhaps that's a factor?

There is a site for ordering a free vented cap as part of a program, but never did get around to ordering one for my tractor.
