Hey MagMan, a great guy by the name Gene Bender has been helping me with my '44 Farmall A. It has starting problems. I know that you know Gene, and anyone who has had any dealing with Gene knows he's a great guy always willing to help and a great wealth of knowledge. Gene and I have run out of ideas on what’s wrong with my tractor. It ran and started fine until I rebuilt the governor and steering gear assembly. It took me three weeks to rebuild as I only worked evenings on it. I made sure the two dots on the governor lined up with the gears on the timing. They are right on. I’m not getting any spark. I took the coil wire and held it next to the ground screw and cranked and got nothing. I cleaned the post on the coil and metal strip on the coil cover. I cleaned the connections on the coil wires. I dressed and re-set the points to .013. I sandblasted the spark plugs. Nothing really changed in the three weeks since it was cranking and running fine. Any ideas? Also, what is your web site name?

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
