Ir reply to the post earlier about the question that a gentlemen had on the H ignition system, I bought that Magneto awhile back before I knew much of this board, and the people who are very loyal and helpful to it. Bleieve me, if i had known that you can offer beter service and better parts, i would have most defintly contacted you. This board has to become like a "Daily fix for me" almost like nicotine hahaha, I'm SURE that something will go wrong with the mag at some point, I must have got lucky with this one, becasue it seems to work fine now, But again, at some point something will go wronog and YOU will be the person i go to.....As well as the other Much more knowledable people on this board.

Thanks for your honesty about that seller.....I Prob wouldn't buy from him again

Ryan

Can you test an H4 magneto coil with an ohmmeter? My coil has continuity between ground and the blue wire, but none between ground and the top contact. Is coil bad?

Thats not a problem you see I have been down and out with severe back problems for a few months now or you would have seen a much better magneto on ebay from me I am just starting to get better. It just gets me when you try to be nice and contact someone to better your self and them by making a deal. That they have the nerve to say every man for them selves and basically Scr#@ you. Its just makes my bllod boil thats when I started to under cut him. I have made deals like this with a few guys and it has worked out in all our favors before. But I figure that a waranty makes all the difference to me plus a phone # if you have any problems. I also asked the guy why he did not leave neg feed back for the Mag and he said he got it tripped it it had spark and looked good so he left good feed back. But it was trying to get it installed and the tractor not running right the guy told him it was him and he must be timing it wrong well after a few weeks of this and probly a lot of swearing he sent it to me and in ten mins it was done and on the way back to him and his tractor started and ran fine after that. Just keep me in mind and also anyone else that may need one in the future or parts. JON ABUCKMASTER147@WMCONNECT.COM 0R H4 J4 MAGMAN@WMCONNECT.COM

Hey MagMan, a great guy by the name Gene Bender has been helping me with my '44 Farmall A. It has starting problems. I know that you know Gene, and anyone who has had any dealing with Gene knows he's a great guy always willing to help and a great wealth of knowledge. Gene and I have run out of ideas on what’s wrong with my tractor. It ran and started fine until I rebuilt the governor and steering gear assembly. It took me three weeks to rebuild as I only worked evenings on it. I made sure the two dots on the governor lined up with the gears on the timing. They are right on. I’m not getting any spark. I took the coil wire and held it next to the ground screw and cranked and got nothing. I cleaned the post on the coil and metal strip on the coil cover. I cleaned the connections on the coil wires. I dressed and re-set the points to .013. I sandblasted the spark plugs. Nothing really changed in the three weeks since it was cranking and running fine. Any ideas? Also, what is your web site name?
