Lots of penetrating oil in the area of the fan hub[threads] helps. The liberal use of an 18 inch punch to get the front half of the pulley started to turn doesn't hurt too much either. Of course, some of these hubs can be adjusted easily with your bare hands[ haven't seen one yet, though]. Getting the lock pin loose is sometimes the hardest part of this whole operation. Patience & lots of penetrating oil help.
